Went to Mike Macario’s retirement function and gave his glass plaque. A previous retiree wanted to know if he could get a one and I passed it on to Battalion Representative. 39 year Union Award! Great evening at Franconia! Started in the 41st Recruit School and recently gave a speech to the 141st!
Went to Mike Garcia’s retirement function. Great Evening meeting some of the members from Fire Station Fifteen! FS 26 made a great gift with a helmet! Met Steve Clark who raised some issues that I will bring up at the EBoard.
Congressional Races
Don Beyer- Democrat – Virginia’s 8th Congressional District- Won!
Don Beyer worked on the Zadroga Bill. Pat Morrison helped on his Kickoff Fundraiser.
Barbara Comstock – Republican - Virginia 10th Congressional District – Won!
A hard fought campaign. She was one of the few Republican’s who backed the initial Zadroga Bill. She even went against a Virginia Republican
Gerry Connolly – Democrat – Virginia’s 11th Congressional District – Won!
Gerry Connolly, long time Firefighter Ally. I went to his campaign office at 5 am and visited 12 Voting Locations. They were very grateful.

We were against #1 and for #2. We succeeded on both!
