Department members, Progressive Firefighters of Fairfax County, Inc., and International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 2068, have been collecting toys, games, coats, and other items to be distributed to children throughout Fairfax County during the holiday season.

Through generous donations and support from businesses and civic organizations including Operation Warm/Firefighters Coats for Kids, Promax Realtors, Apple Federal Credit Union, Nationwide Credit Corporation, the Rotary Club of Tysons Corner, Fairfax County Federation of Teachers, SEIU-512, Deloitte Consulting, and the Connection Newspapers, several thousand school-aged children and their families received gifts this holiday season. Area preschool children were also on hand to receive new toys from firefighters.
