Welcome to the Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics - International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 2068's Website. Our website will provide you with up-to-date information and education as it relates to issues that directly affect our members.

The Local 2068 Membership consists of over 1725 active and retired fire fighters and paramedics. Additionally, the membership is made up of mechanics from the Fire and Rescue Department Apparatus Shops and the 9-11 call takers and dispatchers working at the Department of Public Safety Communications Center. Our fire fighters and paramedics respond from 37 fire stations- 7 battalions while providing emergency services to over 1 million citizens residing within 404 square miles of Fairfax County property. Thus, our members respond to approximately 90,000 suppression, emergency medical, and public service incidents annually.

Local 2068 is a very progressive union. From politics - to health and safety – to compensation and benefits our union is intimately involved all day everyday at every political level. I would also like to add that our local is one of ten IAFF Locals in North America selected and participating in the IAFF/International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Joint Labor/Management Wellness-Fitness Initiative. Our ability to respond to emergency incidents is directly related to our physical and mental ability to respond. Our participation in the Wellness-Fitness Initiative allows us to do just that.
